Ready Legal Information

Our Privacy Notice explains how Ready Technology Ltd. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our website https://ready.io/, our mobile apps, and any services we provide (the “Services” or “Ready”).

To illustrate, our Privacy Policy outlines the data we collect and its impact on your experience. It further elucidates the measures we employ to safeguard your privacy.

This Privacy Policy pertains to all our Services unless explicitly stated otherwise.

We also encourage you to familiarize yourself with Ready’s Terms of Service ("Terms"), which delineates the conditions governing your use of our Services and our obligations in providing them.

How You Accept This Policy

By using Ready, including downloading one of our mobile applications or visiting our website, you agree to our Privacy Policy and how we handle your information.

Information We Collect

We do our best to minimize the amount of Personal Information that we collect from Ready users. However, Ready must receive or collect some information to operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services, including when you install, access, or use our Services.

The types of information we receive and collect depend on how you use our Services. When registering for our Services, you can do so without providing any of your information.

When you reach out to us for support, report an issue with Ready, or interact with us on social media, we may collect your contact details like phone number or email address. Also, when using our services, we process the PUBLIC wallet addresses you create with Ready Wallet.

Our Services have optional features which, if used by you, require us to collect additional information to provide such features. You will be notified of such collection, as appropriate. If you choose not to provide the information needed to use a feature, you will be unable to use the feature. For example, you cannot share your location with your contacts if you do not permit us to collect your location data from your device. Permissions can be managed through your Settings menu on both Android and iOS devices.

Information You Provide

  • Your Account Information: When you sign up for our Services, you do not have to to disclose any personal information. You can add other information to your account, such as a profile picture and "Profile" information.
  • Your Messages: We do not retain your messages in the ordinary course of providing our Services to you. Instead, your messages are stored on your device and not typically stored on our servers. Once your messages are delivered, they are deleted from our servers. The following scenarios describe circumstances where we may store your messages in the course of delivering them:
    • Undelivered Messages: If a message cannot be instantly delivered (e.g., if the recipient is offline), we securely save it on our servers in an encrypted form for up to 30 days while we attempt to deliver it. If we cannot send the message within this time frame, we delete it.
    • Media Forwarding: When a user forwards media within a message, we store that media temporarily in encrypted form on our servers to aid in more efficient delivery of additional forwards. We offer end-to-end encryption for our Services. End-to-end encryption means that your messages are encrypted to protect against us and third parties from reading them.
  • Transactions and Payment Information: If you use our payment services or engage with our Services designed for financial transactions, we process additional data about you. This may include details like wallet addresses and transaction information.
  • Customer Support and Communication: When you reach out to us for customer support or any other form of communication, you might share information related to your use of our Services. This can include message copies, any additional relevant information, and your contact details, such as an email address. For instance, you may send us an email detailing app performance or other concerns.

We use encryption and other measures to protect your data during transfer and keep strict physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards for storing and sharing your information. However, we can't eliminate all risks of data breaches, including those due to technology failures or unauthorized access. Any information that you provide to us is done so entirely at your own risk.

You have the ability to control your interactions and the information you share through your Services settings and the "block" feature.
  • Collaboration with Third-Party Service Providers: We collaborate with third-party service providers to assist us in the operation, improvement, customization, support, and promotion of our Services. Managing And Retaining Your Information

We retain information for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. This encompasses providing our Services, complying with legal obligations, enforcing our Terms, and safeguarding our rights, assets, and users. The specific storage periods are determined on a case-by-case basis, considering factors such as the information's nature, the purpose for its collection and processing, operational and legal retention requirements.

Should you wish to take control of, modify, restrict, or erase your information, you have the following tools at your disposal:

  • Services Settings: You can use your Services settings to control specific information accessible to other users. This includes the management of your contacts, groups, broadcast lists, and using the "block" feature to manage your communication with other users.
  • Editing Your Profile Name and Picture, and "Profile" Details: You have the option to edit your profile name, profile picture, and "profile" details at any time.
  • Deleting Your Ready Account: You can delete your Ready account at any time, which includes revoking your consent to our use of your information as required by applicable law. This can be done through our in-app "delete my account" feature. When you delete your Ready account, any undelivered messages are also removed from our servers, along with information no longer needed for the operation and provision of our Services. Deleting your account will encompass the removal of your account information, profile photo, and your presence in all Ready groups. Please be aware that merely deleting Ready from your device, without using our in-app "delete my account" feature, will result in your information being retained by us for a longer period. Remember that deleting your account does not affect information related to groups you created or information other users have about you, such as copies of messages you have sent them. However, wallet addresses created with Ready Wallet are part of the Ethereum blockchain, which means they cannot be deleted. As a result, we're unable to remove this information.
